Catherine Anne Gruber, 73, of Gainesville, Florida passed away July 12, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was born July 5, 1944 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Vardaman Bilbo and Catherine Cathcart Osborne.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Wayne F. Gruber, USAF (Ret.); children, David Gruber (Laura) of Gainesville and J. Erik Gruber of West Palm Beach; sister, Susan Loberg and two grandchildren, Alex and Ashley Gruber.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 614 S Church St, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Msgr. Jack Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E. Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, 3152 Little Road, Suite 146, Trinity, Florida 34655.

I will always remember Anne for her quiet sweet personality!! Her voice and laugh always made me feel cheerful, and made me want to laugh, too!!! I remember her first car because she was the one of us that had a car, and drove us anywhere we needed to go!! Prayers go out to her family during this difficult time!! Rest In Peace, sweet friend!!!
