David and I became friends in elementary school and didn't lose touch until college. It is always difficult to describe a close friend in a few words, but I knew him to be a loyal and caring person. He also had a great sense of humor and free spirit. It has saddened me for many years that we lost contact, but I enjoyed seeing him at one of our class reunions. He was a special person and trusted friend who I am greatful to have known.
